Meet Dr. Ellen Sears
OK friends, somehow the felines have taken over the blog 2 times now and it’s about time we get back on track with us canines around here. Who am I, you ask? I’m Lincoln. Dr. Ellen Sears’ beloved furry friend!
I’m so glad you’re here for me to introduce and tell you about my most favorite human. I’ve got stories to tell and secrets to share so let’s get started!
We’ll start at the beginning when Dr. Sears was a kid. It was clear she was meant for #VeterinarianLife when she refused to go by any name other than Pepper and pretended to be a dog. Luckily, she has grown out of that phase (could you imagine what the the vet visits would be like, Phew!) She was always a curious child about science and nature and thanks her high school classes, Anatomy and Physiology, for solidifying her draw toward the Medical Field. Add in shadowing a veterinarian in her hometown before heading off to college, and this human was convinced she was on the right path! Personally, I couldn’t agree more. That ice cream shop gig was never going to last!
Something important to know about my human, Dr. Sears, is that she cannot go a day without coffee. Coffee is a necessity in our house. Well, not for me…apparently I can’t have any but there is a method to making it right. Regular drip coffee with just a splash of cream. You do not want to see her when she hasn’t had her coffee, take my word for it! Since we are on the topic of food/drink, here’s an interesting fact for you. She puts ketchup on her Mac and Cheese. She claims it is an inherited weirdness from her grandfather. I’m still undecided if that should be a combination or not but to each their own, right? Anyone else put ketchup on their Mac and Cheese?
Admirably, her dream is to one day go on a veterinary mission trip to help people and animals in Peru. I just hope she takes me with her 🐾 paws crossed 🐾 Last year, she went on two amazing trips to the Grand Canyon and Disney World. I’m ALMOST over the fact that I didn’t get to go with her, but still love hearing the stories of her wonderful time! She tells me often that she wants to visit more National Parks and I assume these trips are for me to tag along too since they are parks after all. Yay!
I hope I’ve shared some good and fun insight with you about my human and your furry friend’s doctor! Don’t be a stranger and if you like ketchup on your Mac and Cheese too, she would love to know her fellow foodies!
Wags and Kisses,
