Ellen Sears DVM
Dr. Ellen Sears is originally from Charleston, WV. Growing up in the mountain state she developed a love for the great outdoors and all aspects of nature. Ellen’s interest in science and nature sparked her desire to become a veterinarian at a young age. She decided to move to North Carolina in 2020 to enjoy the similar ecosystem with added beaches and warmer climate.
Ellen attended West Virginia University for undergraduate studies with a major in Animal and Nutritional Sciences. At WVU she participated in service dog training and started the Pre-Veterinary Club. She then attended Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN for veterinary school. Since then she has worked as an Emergency Veterinarian in Charlotte, NC and a General Practitioner in Martinsburg, WV. Trinity Animal Hospital’s guarantee to know pets and their owners aligns with Dr. Sears’ strong desire to build trusting relationships.
Ellen is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. Her special interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography and animal behavior. She lives in Cary with her hound dog, Lincoln, who loves to hike, bark at squirrels and take long naps.
